“Transmilenio is the best mass transportation system for Bogotá”

Transmilenio is the metropolitan mass transportation system that works in Bogotá city, Its construction began in 1998, having to Enrique Peñalosa as Bogotá’s mayor and its inauguration was on December 18th/2000. It was developed because before transmileno, Bogotá has a big problems with the public transportation. It is part of SITM(Sistema Integrado de Transporte Masivo). The management of the project was Mckinsey International Consultant Brand.

It have been giving a great services to the society, and it is too popular every day thousands of persons uses that to go to their offices, schools, universities…. It have a good installations, a good buses, it is very organized, you can take your bus too easy it is a very good idea for the bogotans. But in the other hand, the people says the buses ride too crowded, the tickets are too expensive, there is a lot of thieves and it is not save to take valuable things because you can lost them.

It needs more authority control, we can make transmilenio as save system transportation, but we must to collaborate, it is not fear that the people keep sit when they see a old people riding stand up or a pregnant woman stand up. We have to develop our social conscience.

Transmilenio have been a good idea for the bogotans, all the people like it, but we have to be agree and put a fear price to the tickets, make a rulers to prohibit the transmilenios ride too crowded, and put more policemen in the stations and in the buses to make save our mass transportation system.
